Ginger for Toothache

Home remedies are convenient, effective and cheap. The human body is an organic whole and home remedies activate our immune system and heal our body naturally.

One day, I was bothered by a toothache. It was at the place where a wisdom tooth was pulled eight years ago. I looked in the mirror at that place in my mouth, and the gum was red and swollen. I searched online and found the solution – use ginger root! Here’s the instructions:

  • Cut off a piece of fresh ginger.
  • Put the piece in the mouth at the painful spot and bite down on it.
  • Let it stay there for a while. You can keep the ginger in your mouth all night if need be.

My pain was not really a toothache, it was swelling of the gum. But I decided to give it a try. Following the instructions, I put a piece of fresh ginger on the achy gum before sleeping. The next day, the pain was much less and the swelling had gone down. The only issue was when I brushed my teeth a little blood came out because of a popped blister on the gum. But it didn’t last long. I put the ginger on again the following night and after that it was completely cured. I was very happy with the result. The pain was totally gone! I can smile and eat well again!
